On November 10–16, 2024 living with a CIS HK Grade9 group of polite, enthusiastic, and adorable kids for seven days of outdoor education was an unforgettable and heartwarming experience. Even though it was an intense and challenging adventure program, every activity brought joy and created lasting memories.
We began with trekking through the forest, where the kids showed great excitement in exploring nature. They weren’t just following the trail , they were eager to learn about the plants, flowers, and wildlife along the way. Spending the night in the forest was both fun and challenging, with the kids gathering around the campfire to share stories. It was a warm and bonding moment that highlighted their growing friendships.
White water rafting brought a mix of thrills and laughter. The kids worked hard as a team, refusing to give up despite the rushing currents. The next evening, we enjoyed a traditional Khantoke dinner, allowing everyone to experience the richness of local culture. Cycling through scenic landscapes added another layer of beauty to our journey.
Kayaking and activities at the elephant camp helped the kids connect deeply with nature and animals. Jungle cooking taught them to creatively use natural ingredients, while Low Ropes & High Wall activities, as well as Top Rope Climbing, tested their courage and problem-solving skills under pressure.
Though the program was physically demanding, the kids’ joy and smiles made all the hard work worthwhile. Watching them grow in confidence, courage, and teamwork was inspiring and uplifting. These seven days didn’t just create wonderful memories; they were a valuable life lesson for everyone involved.
