After a long ride from Nan province, the M4 and M5 students settled into their rooms and began an exciting program of teambuilding and English language. Our trip began with a bicycle based scavenger hunt around campus, definitely more exciting than a standard campus tour! This camp was focused on team building, and the groups participated in many challenges over a couple of days. STEM based challenges like bottle rockets, flying machines and even building a raft, this created much discussion about the language/ jargon we use for our roles within a team. Then there were other challenges like chemical cargo and balance bar even finding a maze hidden in a grid. All of these small group activities made it possible to really engage using English with all participants. But it wasn't all just "work" we went out to the farm and made fires and cooked lunch. And even had time for a sing along at our campfire too. It was an enjoyable and exciting trip for these M4 and M5 kids.
