VSP organised The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award (IA) expedition for students from Varee International School to complete their Silver Award. The 3 day adventurous journey took place in the mountains surrounding the Traidhos campus, with trekking routes that challenged the students and took them out of their comfort zone. The Varee IS students completed the trip safely and successfully with facilitation by VSP staff who are IA qualified assessors and leaders. The students enjoyed learning about the natural environment as they traversed the mountain side, using navigation skills to complete the routes as well as developing their self-confidence and teamwork.
